Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for an Assistant Facilities Manager to join the College in a permanent, full-time capacity, starting April 2026.

The Assistant Facilities Manager plays a key role in supporting the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of the school’s physical environment. This position assists the Facilities Manager in overseeing the upkeep of buildings, classrooms, grounds, and associated infrastructure to ensure a clean, secure, and functional learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Provide day-to-day guidance, supervision and support to Grounds/Maintenance Officers to ensure the timely and quality completion of tasks.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager with rostering, task allocation and performance feedback for facilities staff.
  • Track the progress and completion of tasks, ensuring records are updated and stakeholders are informed.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of preventative maintenance tasks and minor refurbishment projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and routine checks to ensure the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and amenities.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Trade qualifications or relevant experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or other related trade disciplines.
  • Proven ability to supervise staff, manage competing priorities, and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to communicate clearly and professionally with staff, contractors, and stakeholders
